Nature Play Week 2016
It’s official! Nature Play Week 2016 has launched and it’s an amazing programme! From the 6th to the 17th of April, activities and events supporting kids and families to get active outdoors will be held all over Victoria, thanks to the fantastic coordinating efforts of Kids in Nature Network.
The Nature Play Week 2016 calendar is bursting at the seams with fun, (many free) nature-based activities, arranged and hosted by a range of organisations, community groups and individuals dedicated to increasing the amount of contact children, parents and carers have with the natural world.
We’d especially like to highlight the very exciting mass Treasure Hunts Parks Victoria’s Junior Rangers program is going to be hosting on Friday 8 April in parks across metropolitan and regional areas in Victoria. They’re even hoping to break an Australian record for the biggest Treasure Hunt held simultaneously in ten different locations! You can find out more by heading to #WhatsOnOutdoors and searching for activities in Victoria on Friday 8 April (hint: use the key word ‘treasure’).
We’d also like to draw attention to the awesome activities planned by:
Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria
Kids Adventure Outdoors, Anglesea
Zoos Victoria
Natured Kids
Leap into Nature
All of these activities and more are available to view on the Kids in Nature Network website
Huge thanks to our friends at the Kids in Nature Network for coordinating Nature Play Week 2016 – it’s going to be massive!!!
