Leap into Nature @ Gresswell Forest

Description

Leap into Nature will be visiting Gresswell Forest in Watsonia/Macleod for a bushwalk, play and nature discovery. The bushwalk is less than 2 km return, it is flat and pram friendly.

Meeting place is at the car park on Greenwood Drive, Watsonia.  There is a small carpark adjacent to the park, there’s also a small playground and toilet block in front of the reserve.

Nature discovery ‘tools/equipment’ and craft activities will be provided for the children.

To be a regular participant of our Leap into Nature adventures, it is required that you become a Playgroup Victoria member to ensure the group is covered for insurance. You are welcome to come to one session as a trial before joining Playgroup Victoria. Please email us to get further information on joining. Memberships are due 1 March 2015.

Cost is $10 for the first child, $5 for second, third child etc. in a family and children under 12 months are free.

Useful Information

What to bring:

  • Your sense of adventure!
  • Sturdy, comfortable shoes with enclosed toes are recommended.
  • Bring/wear appropriate clothing: dress for the weather, hats, long pants, raincoat, etc, as required.
  • SUNSCREEN remember to SLIP – SLOP – SLAP – Be Sunsmart!
  • Water, morning tea/snacks/lunch (kids get hungry bushwalking!)
