Cubby Building Extravaganza, Lake Gwelup Reserve, Karrinyup

Description

Join Educated by Nature at Lake Gwelup Reserve for a Cubby Building Extravaganza! Nature will provide the sticks and branches, Educated By Nature will bring along a bunch of rope, twine, tools and materials and all you have to bring along is your imagination!

KIN (Kids In Nature) Junior is designed to make a fun morning outdoors easy for parents and uplifting for children as you engage together in nature-focussed activities. The sessions are planned for children aged 4 to 7 and their parents. However, they welcome children and family members of all ages. The space, equipment, activities and community are all organised for you, so you just need to pack your family and come along. The session gives children the time, attention, new friends, inspiration and tools they need to thrive and be healthy members of a community in nature.

A Nature Educator will observe the children playing and extend exploration with careful questioning (when appropriate), assist in developing skills in negotiation and self-regulation, monitor the presence of hazards and encourage parents to be involved without directing their child’s play – following the child’s own journey is an important element of the program.
