Mount Blandy Habitat Protection

Description

Ready for a great experience and awesome personal challenge?

We invite you to join a team of volunteers to help the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service protect the beautiful, natural Australian environment at Mount Blandy. Our efforts will protect the biodiversity in the Mount Blandy Regional Park, and you’ll learn some important conservation techniques!

Register your interest early to secure your spot in this week-long project. The team will camp at Mount Blandy for the duration of the project, with equipment, food and transport provided by Conservation Volunteers. As such, this project attracts a small cost (contact us to find out more details). You will just need to bring your own sleeping bag.

This project requires people with great enthusiasm, and you’ll need to be able to walk over uneven ground, in densely vegetated areas. You’ll need to bring long pants, a long sleeve shirt, enclosed shoes (boots are great!) a hat and sunglasses. Don’t forget a sleeping bag for camping.

We will travel to the project site as a group, in CVA transport and our meeting points are;

The Brisbane Office: 333 Bennetts Road, Norman Park, Brisbane

And the Brisbane City YHA: 392 Upper Roma Street, Brisbane

Just let us know where you would like us to pick you up. Can’t wait to see you there!
