Restore habitat of the critically endangered Eastern Curlew migratory shore bird.  Each year these incredible birds travel more than 20,000 kilometres (round trip) as part of their yearly migration. They breed as far north as arctic circle within Russia and North-eastern China, and make their way to the eastern shores of Australia to rest in summer.

The focus of the Congwong Beach sand dunes restoration project is removal of Bitou bush from the dunes, to rehabilitate and re-establish the native vegetation.
