Volunteer at Brookfield Conservation Park (25th – 28th July)

Description

Brookfield Conservation Park, two hours north of Adelaide, is one of the last remaining strongholds for populations of the Southern Hairy-nosed Wombat.

Join us for 4-days/3-nights from Tuesday 25th – Friday 28th of July to help us to undertake activities that are focused on protecting the wombats and their habitat, such as surveying wildlife and vegetation, weed management and park maintenance.

Brookfield Conservation Park is managed by Conservation Volunteers in a unique arrangement that gives volunteers the opportunity to see parts of the park that are not open to the public. There will be plenty of opportunities to have close encounters with Australian wildlife and if you are lucky you may even get the chance to see one of our elusive wombats!

The cost to be involved in this project is $120/person, with this covering all project related transport, food and accommodation. (There is a discount available for permanent residents/citizens that are full-time students)

Volunteers will need to bring a sleeping bag, clothing (including sturdy boots, long pants and a long sleeved top), toiletries, towel, torch with fully-charged batteries, a water bottle and your lunch for the first day.

This is a unique opportunity to spend multiple days at Brookfield Conservation Park with only seven spaces available – so get in quick!

***Bookings are essential for this project and can be made online***
