St Joseph’s Sensory Garden, Murray Bridge

Description

We wanted to create a Sensory Garden to provide students with the opportunity to relax and reenergise through the stimulation of different senses. Currently there are many opportunities for this to happen in doors but we felt the need to develop this as an option outdoors. We are creating a garden with a variety of plants that either feel or smell interesting as well as different textured paths and a bench for students to use. We are hoping to include some musical elements in the garden also. The students have been very active in the construction of the garden too and have enjoyed this opportunity. So far the experience has been very positive.
