Saving the Iconic Nielsen Park She-Oak, Sydney

Description

Nielsen Park in Sydney’s eastern suburbs is home to one of the rarest tress of Sydney. In fact, it’s only known location is in Neilson Park itself, which runs alongside the heritage listed Greycliffe house and borders the iconic Sydney Harbour and Shark Beach.

Working in conjunction with National Parks and Wildlife, we are helping to reduce the number of threats this unique plant faces. This includes undertaking various measures to reduce weed invasion in the area, habitat restoration, monitoring of the site and importantly preparing the area for controlled ecological burns.
