Planting with Coastcare at Rockingham Beach

Description

The few remaining coastal reserves in the industrial zone are under threat from weed invasion and vegetation degradation from erosion and uncontrolled access from the public, four wheel drives and motorbikes.

The City of Rockingham in association with the Rockingham Coastcare Group have initiated activities to improve the quality of the coastal vegetation to improve habitat and biodiversity values in line with the Foreshore Management Plan for the City of Rockingham.

We will be working alongside community friends groups to restore and rehabilitate this local urban coastline. Come down for the morning and help us plant some native seedlings to increase the biodiversity of this beautiful reserve
