Planting at Yangebup Lake
Yangebup Lake forms part of the Beeliar Regional Park which contains part of a significant wetland chain that links in the north-south direction and crosses several local government and state government reserves. Yangebup Lake is a popular place for visitors and it has a strong heritage value.
Conservation volunteers will be working with the City of Cockburn to plant native seedlings to increase native plant cover and to improve biodiversity and habitat values. The City of Cockburn will be providing a BBQ lunch for all volunteers as a thank you for the day.
We offer free transport from Fremantle at 8.00am or you can meet us on site at 9.00am. Please let me know which you would prefer. The pickup spot in Fremantle is at Pioneer Reserve on the corner of Packenham Street and Short Street.
All you need to bring is a hat, lunch, and a water bottle. Please make sure you are wearing a long sleeved top, long pants and enclosed sturdy footwear. We provide all the tools and safety equipment such as water, gloves and sunscreen.
