Nature Trackers at Braeside Park

Our Nature Trackers is full of fun, interactive, hands-on nature-based activities aimed at school aged children. Our 2.5 hour session will look at many different aspects of nature and the local bushland. Our program will also introduce nature journaling for children and basic navigation skills using maps and aerial photography.

This program is designed for primary school aged children – 5 years and above. Younger siblings are welcome to attend. All children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times (tracks are pram friendly).  There is one single family ticket price of $35.00. As part of the program, each registered child over 5 years old will receive a Nature Journal to use and keep, and all equipment will be provided on the day. So please make sure the children participating in the program bring their own backpack as they will be asked to carry their own equipment for the day.

Useful Information

What to bring: Your sense of adventure and love of nature! Please also ensure all family members dress appropriately for the bush, with enclosed shoes, long pants, raincoats, hats, sunscreen etc. Please bring snacks, water and we would love you to stay around after the session at 12:00 pm for a picnic lunch with the group.

This event will be cancelled if severe weather is forecast, including high fire danger, high winds, or heavy rain/thunderstorms. A full refund will be provided if the session is cancelled and you can not attend a re-scheduled event.

Children must be accompanied by a parent/carer at all times and are required to stay for the duration of the session.
