National Tree Day – Planting at Tappers Swamp
Description
Come and help us celebrate National Tree Day! Bibra Lake is located in the south of Perth in the City of Cockburn and is part of the Beeliar Regional Park wetlands. It is home to a number of flora and fauna including a small mammal called a Quenda, bandicoots and migratory water birds. This reserve also provides a vital food source for the endangered Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo.
We will be working alongside community friends groups to restore and rehabilitate this local urban wetland. Come down for the morning on National Tree Day and help us plant some native seedlings to increase the biodiversity and improve the water quality of this beautiful reserve. The City of Cockburn will be providing a free BBQ lunch as a thank you to all of the volunteers hard work.
