Leap into Nature Junior Nature Club @ Richards Reserve in Montrose

Description

Leap into Nature Junior Nature Club will be running a very exciting session with Montrose Environment Group and Yarra Ranges Shire. It will involve a nature discovery walk and tree planting day (in lieu of National Tree Day 26 July 2015). The session will be held on Saturday 1 August 2015, it is open to all ages.

Meeting place is on the corner of Swansea Road and Copeland Drive at Richards Reserve in Montrose.

We will enjoy a bushwalk looking for birds, some bug hunting and then take part in planting out a special children area within the reserve.

 

Useful Information

What to bring:

Your sense of adventure!

Sturdy, comfortable shoes with enclosed toes or gumboots if you/kids prefer.

Bring/wear appropriate clothing: dress for the weather, jacket, hats/beanie, long pants, raincoat, as required etc., gardening gloves if you would prefer.

Water and snacks/morning tea.

There are no toilets within the reserve (closest are located at town centre).

Children must be accompanied by a parent/carer who are required to stay for the duration of the session and are responsible for their children at all times.
