Leap into Nature Junior Nature Club @ Karkarook Park

Description

Leap into Nature will be visiting Karkarook Park in Heatherton. Karkarook Park is managed by Parks Victoria and it is a wetland oasis in the heart of suburbia. Our nature club will enjoy a walk through the wetlands area, bird viewing, ponding activities and learning all about frogs and other aquatic life.

We have one ALL AGES session on Tuesday 15 September 2015.

Meeting place is the first car park located inside the reserve – off Fairchild Street (off Warrigal Road) in Moorabbin.

The walk is suitable for young kids and prams. Toilets are available near the car park.

Nature discovery ‘tools/equipment’ and frog-related craft activities will be provided for the children.

One child attending $9
Two children $15
Three children $20
Under 12 months is free

Parents/guardians are required to stay for the duration of the session and are responsible for their children at all times.

 

Useful Information

What to bring:

Your sense of adventure!
Sturdy, comfortable shoes with enclosed toes is recommended. Gumboots are also recommended.

Bring/wear appropriate clothing: dress for the weather, hats, long pants, raincoat, as required etc.

SUNSCREEN remember to SLIP – SLOP – SLAP – Be Sunsmart!
