Leap into Nature @ Glenfern Valley Bushlands

Description

Our Leap into Nature Junior Nature Club is heading back to Glenfern Valley Bushlands in Upwey.  We will enjoy some more planting around their frog pond, looking for butterflies and talking about the butterfly life cycle and other nature-based activities.

Meeting place is the car park to Glenfern Valley Bushlands on Glenfern Road – the middle car park (there is a rock wall at this car park).

The short bushwalk down to the pond is suitable for young kids and prams.

Nature discovery ‘tools/equipment’ and craft activities will be provided for the children.

Useful Information

What to bring:

Your sense of adventure!

BYO Gardening gloves for those that want to do some planting.

Sturdy, comfortable shoes with enclosed toes and long pants is recommended.

Bring/wear appropriate clothing: dress for the weather, hats, long pants, raincoat, as required etc.

SUNSCREEN remember to SLIP – SLOP – SLAP – Be Sunsmart!

Water, morning tea/snacks/lunch.

Please note, there are no toilets available in the reserve.

Cost for the session is $9 for one child; $15 for two; $20 for three; $25 for four; under 12 months is free.

Children must be accompanied by a parent/carer at all times and are required to stay for the duration of the session.
