Leap into Nature @ Yarra Bend Park – Night time adventure

Description

Leap into Nature is holding a second session for Nature Play Week!

As a follow up from our bush playgroup visit on Wednesday 15 April we are heading back to Yarra Bend Park in Kew on Friday 17 April evening  to view the Grey-headed Flying-fox take off from their daily camp site off for their nightly feeding!

The Grey-headed Flying-fox is a very special animal as it is a threatened species and requires understanding and protection – it is a great opportunity for you and your children to see a threatened species right in the heart of Melbourne. The session will be lead by a zoologist and mother of two young nature adventurers! This will be a great learning opportunity and an exciting night-time adventure for your kids to be a part of!

Meeting place is the Bellbird Picnic Area, off Yarra Boulevard in Yarra Bend Park, Kew.

We will also enjoy a short ‘night-walk’ and spotlighting looking for animals of the night!

This session is open to all ages. BYO handheld torch/head-torch.
