Leap into Nature – Insect Exploration and Discovery, Sandringham

Description

Leap into Nature is joining forces with Bayside Friends Environment Network – EnviroKids – in the second week of the school holidays!  This is going to be an exciting session for the pre-shcoolers and school-age children! The activities are generally suitable for children aged 4+ years, however, younger ones are most welcome to come and connect with nature and learn about bugs too!

We will be learning about the different type of bugs we find along the foreshore, what habitats they are found in and how to find them!

Meeting place is the at the end of Jetty Road in Sandringham, at the bottom car park next to the Sandy Beach Kiosk. You can park here, or at Car Park B7 or B8 or the Hampton Sailing Club and walk down.  You will need to buy a parking ticket ($5/hour).

The area is suitable for prams. Toilets are available within the nearby car parks.

Nature discovery ‘tools/equipment’ and craft activities will be provided for the children.

To be a regular participant of our Leap into Nature adventures, it is required that you become a Playgroup Victoria member to ensure the group is covered for insurance. You are welcome to come to one session as a trial before joining Playgroup Victoria. Please email us to get further information on joining.
