Hanging Gardens of Ferntree Gully tour

Description

How do you grow plants indoors to create air conditioning?

How do you push the boundaries of sustainability when your house sits on a 23 degree slope?

This is a rare opportunity to tour a private house with stunning green roofs, green walls and 120 km views. With an award winning series of water filtration gardens, energy efficiency measures, and plants designed into the very building, the attention to detail throughout this home is fantastic.

On this tour we start with the landscape, its history, its art, its national parks. Then we sink our teeth into the technical nuts and bolts. Owner and builder, Anton, is on hand to discuss the challenges he faced in construction, while Shelley talks of all things green roof.

Come and be inspired.
