Forest Bathing Day Retreat on International Women’s Day! Daylesford, VIC

Description

Ever thought of doing something unique for yourself on a day that celebrates women all over the world? Something that connects you to your true self?

“The truth about who we are lives in our hearts” Brené Brown

Join us for a very special event that is enriching and welcoming? A space to deepen your relationship with the natural world. By slowing down and joyously observing with all our senses, we may begin to notice incredible things that may have eluded us for our whole lives.

Known in Japan as Shinrin Yoku (“Forest Bathing”), Forest Therapy is an evidence-based practice of immersing in nature and taking in, with all of our senses, the forest atmosphere. Forest Therapy bestows natural antidepressants, boosts your immune system and even increases your creativity and mental capabilities! That’s right, it’s evidence-based that time in nature makes you happier, healthier and smarter!

Taking a immersive, quiet walk in nature is proven to calm, de-stress and relax us. Stillness is not about focusing on nothingness; it’s about creating a clearing. It’s opening up an emotionally clutter-free space and allowing ourselves to feel and think, dream and question.

“Such a beneficial experience! Susan’s tours are great to reset your priorities and reconnect with nature and people who love nature. Even for those of us who think we spend time plenty of time in nature, a guided experience like this reveals so much more and is a heart opening, heart warming joy.”

Let’s make this time and space, OURS! Join a community of like-minded women who connect to each other through nature. Once you have discovered the healing power of trees, you can lose yourself in the beauty of your surroundings, leave everyday stress behind, and reach a place of greater calm and wellness.

What is special about a Forest Therapy walk?

The guided forest therapy walk is a unique experience that is refreshing and grounding with a dusting of magic. The practice includes mindful meanders, unique sensory invitations, gentle stretching, “forest breathing” and other healing modalities suited to this day.

To enhance the experience, I have chosen a lush, tranquil trail of about 3 kilometers on easeful forested paths in Daylesford. There is no pressure to ‘perform’ in any particular way. Let nature guide you. Everything is welcome in the forest.
