Conservation Volunteers and Friends of Hollis Park, South Fremantle Weekend Project
Description
Hollis Park is situated in South Fremantle between South Beach and Hampton Road and has been a multi-use site for a number of years. Sick of seeing a ‘post-apocalyptic’ landscape local residents starting planting the large area. The Friends of Hollis Park now hold regular planting, weeding and mulching days to improve the biodiversity of the site and to bring back some of the local native animals.
Over September we will be helping the Friends of Hollis Park on weekend project days to create and widen limestone tracks, assist with the green stock maintenance of last year’s planting efforts and to remove the invasive Victorian Tea Tree.
We offer a free pick-up from Pioneer Reserve, on the corner of Short St and Packenham Rd in Fremantle. Or meet us onsite at 9am. Please call our office on (08) 9335 2777 for location details.
