Blackwood River Biodiversity Project
Description
Come join us for a week of planting and camping in Blackwood River Basin!
This week we will be assisting the Blackwood Basin Group in planting over 10 000 wetland plants throughout the river catchment area. These plantings are essential in establishing and restoring the mosaic of freshwater wetlands which provide habitat for endangered and priority fauna species, both endemic and migratory.
This project is aiming to restore food-web linkages within the catchment and to create a self-sustaining, resilient ecosystem capable of supporting the local wildlife.
Useful Information
A small cost is required to assist with transport food and accommodation. Concession rate available.
