Annual Community Tree Planting Day & Official Launch of the ‘Mt Leura and Mt Sugarloaf Reserve Volcanic Education Centre’

Description

Friends of Mt Leura are hosting our annual community planting day on Sunday 13th September 2015.

It’s a fun event for all ages and a chance to explore in and around real volcano.

Planting starts at 10.00am and will be followed by the world famous ‘Friends Of Mt Leura BBQ!’

This year we are excited to combine our planting day with the official launch of the ‘Mt Leura and Mt Sugarloaf Reserve Volcanic Education Centre’!

Also included in the day will be a fun Geocaching Activity as part of our ‘Outdoor Education and Community Engagement Program’. We are delighted to have secured a Active in Parks ‘Take it Outside Grant’ that has helped us further develop this program for schools, communities and individuals to explore and learn about our wonderful and unique reserve.

Stay tuned for more details about the event on our Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/friendsofmtleura and more details about our activities and our fantastic nature reserve are on our website www.mtleura.org.au

Registration is at the lower shelter.

We hope to see you and your family there!
