Gardening with Australian Natives at Maranoa Gardens

Description

Join our team for a day trip to Maranoa Gardens on various dates and learn about Australia’s native plants and animals from the local ranger while getting your hands dirty to help protect it.

Maranoa Gardens, located adjacent to Beckett Park was designed as a botanical display of Australian plants, exhibiting plants in a range of habitat styles to demonstrate the flora of Melbourne and other regions.

The garden is also highly focused on its environmentally sustainable landscape practices and that’s why we would love to have your help for the day.

Your assistance in planting native plants will enhance the native vegetation and its ecosystem and also ensure we provide great experiences and educational opportunities for visitors.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a day at the beautiful Maranoa Gardens!

We will provide transport from our Melbourne office (120 Rosslyn Street, West Melbourne) each day, departing at 8am and returning around 4pm. Or if you live local you can meet on-site by prior arrangement.

Bookings are essential. Dates available are 29th May, 12th June and 19th June. Please visit our website or contact the Melbourne Office of Conservation Volunteers Australia.
