Revitalising Sir Joseph Banks Park ,Sydney
Description
Sir Joseph Banks Park is a very significant nature reserve on the Botany foreshore. It provides natural habitat for native flora and fauna species in northern Botany Bay. It is home to the endangered Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub and many other vulnerable native species. This area has been affected by serious environmental degradation in the past and we are here to give it a helping hand and to make it an incredible place to be for the local community, recreation, education and conservation awareness.
There’s lots to be done! Removing invasive species, maintenance of the walking trails, litter collection, mulching and site preparation for community planting events, planting of native species and even wildlife monitoring are just a few. Join Conservation Volunteers Australia to lend a helping hand. Good for you, good for your environment!
