Tuesday Twilight Toadbusting in Darwin
Description
This project aims to help reduce and control numbers of cane toads in local areas of Darwin. Since being introduced to QLD in 1935, they have rapidly spread to the NT, leading to devastating effects on our native wildlife. After an informative identification session we will head out to targeted breeding sites including Lee Point, East Point, McMinns Lagoon, Casuarina, Botanical Gardens and Golflinks to collect cane toads. We meet at the Conservation Volunteers Australia Darwin office and drive you out to the site. This event runs every Tuesday. Online bookings are essential (visit our website https://bookings.conservationvolunteers.org and click on NT). Please call the office (08) 8981 3206 or email darwin@cva.org.au if you would like any further information about an upcoming project:
