Bartolo Nature Reserve – Saving our Santuary

Description

Conservation Volunteers Australia has commenced work on one of Western Sydney’s newest nature reserves, Bartolo. A Cumberland Plain Remnant, this site is a vital habitat link, providing a sanctuary for native wildlife. Owned by the Cumberland Land Conservancy, the site is being restored with the help of Conservation Volunteers Green Army team, neighbours and local volunteers. These groups have been busy weeding, mapping the site to identify flora and fauna and planting a native flowering species, the Nodding Geebung.

Bartolo is a sanctuary for native wildlife and threatened species.

We are seeking help to remove weeds, conduct flora and fauna surveys, and water newly planted native flowering species.

Useful Information

Please wear enclosed shoes, long pants, long sleeve shirt and a hat. You will need to bring lunch, snacks and plenty of water.
