National Tree Day- Surrey Hills, Victoria

Description

Aims of the project: Friends of South Surrey Park are hosting a planting activity in South Surrey Park. This is an urban park which is being revegetated with indigenous plants as part of a Master Plan and Boroondara’s Biodiversity initiative. Come along and meet other like minded people and enjoy a morning doing worthwhile work in a very beautiful park.

Directions: The site is within South Surrey Park on the left hand side of the path running down from the park entry on the corner of Lille and Verdun Streets. Go down the hill, past the low bridge and it will be clearly marked on your left.

Accessible for disabled: No

Notes about the day for Volunteers:
Tram no 70 going towards Wattle Park. Stop no 53 close to Verdun street.
Street parking should be available in Verdun and Lille streets

The following will be provided: Tools and equipment for planting, Watering cans / buckets, Drinking water, Snacks, Refreshments, BBQ
