National Tree Day Planting- Pine Point, SA
Description
Aims of the project: The Muloowurtie Conservation Reserve has been a project area since 1995, and was established to protect the last few remaining plants of the rare Acacia rhetinocarpa (Neat Wattle) which was classed as endangered on the Yorke Peninsula. That and other species are now considered to be in a better position and not quite as threatened as it once was.

Nearest Cross Street: 4 Kms from main highway to Pine Point
Directions: Travel south from the town of Ardrossan, approximately 14 kms you will reach the turnoff to Minlaton. Travel down that highway until you reach a six way intersection. One road to Pine Point, the other to Sandilands. You have reached the Moolowurtie Conservation Reserve. This is the project site, and a COOTS sign will be displayed at that intersection.

Notes about the day for Volunteers:
The site has areas where cars can be parked, also if one was to travel there with a caravan, there is a few areas where a caravan can be parked. There are no facilities, eg toilet, so will need to be able to use areas within bush for that purpose. A good campfire will be available for socialising around.
The following will be provided: Tools and equipment for planting, Watering cans / buckets, Drinking water, Snacks, BBQ
