National Tree Day Planting- Kingston View Drive, Tasmania

Description

Wildlife corridors provide an important link across our modified landscape for plants and animals including many birds. This National Tree Day we are planting a stand of vegetation to provide a habitat corridor. In the mix we will put in a few black gums for our threatened Swift Parrot. The plants will also provide a lovely backdrop to the Mountain Bike Park.

Notes about the day for Volunteers:
This year we will be planting native plants in a wildlife corridor. Bring the whole family, plant a tree and have a snack at the free BBQ. There will be habitat gardening advice, threatened species info and a chance to go for a guided nature walk.

The following will be provided: Gloves, Tools and equipment for planting, Watering cans / buckets, BBQ
