Discover Deep Creek Conservation Park and Care for Walking Trails with Conservation Volunteers Australia

Description

Located on the southern coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula, Deep Creek Conservation Park is known for its spectacular walks, amazing coastal views, varied natural habitats and abundant native wildlife.

This project will have volunteers experiencing all of this while assisting the local Park Rangers with their important trail maintenance program.

Due to the challenging terrain, you will need to be physically fit with no back/knee/ankle issues to participate on this project.

The team will be walking several kilometres each day as you trim the overhanging vegetation along the tracks, repair eroded areas and remove any tripping hazards.

Do take your camera to capture the wonderful scenery, stunning array of native plants and of course any wildlife that you spot. Look out for emus, kangaroos, echidnas and more!

Accommodation – House or cabins in the park or nearby at Cape Jervis. Shared rooms with single beds and shared bathroom. Volunteers also assist with domestic duties including preparing meals.

Transport is provided between Adelaide and Deep Creek.

On-site training, supervision and safety briefings are provided by the trained CVA Team Leader, with support from the knowledgeable Parks staff.

There is a cost to volunteer on this overnight residential project. $208 for 5 days / 4 nights. Concession $120 for 5 days / 4 nights.  *Cost subject to change – please check the cost when you send your enquiry to volunteer.
