Wahroonga Estate

Description

Wahroonga Estate is a privately owned area of land encompassing 34.1ha of E2 Environmental Conservation bushland. Members of the public are welcome to walk along the trails that run through the bushland and enjoy the natural environment.

Guided tours are available during the week and maps are available for those interested in self-guided walks, so please contact us for more information.

Please note that the following rules apply when entering the property:

1. No bicycles, dirt bikes, scooters, etc. or vehicles in the bush. Only staff have the right to drive service vehicles along tracks.

2. Dogs must be kept on a lead. Take dog droppings with you. Bins and bags are provided at most entrances for this purpose.

3. Walkers and dogs must stay on the path to prevent erosion.

4. Do not damage or remove plants, animals or habitat in the bush.

5. No fires and no smoking.

6. No camping.

Happy walking!

Useful Information

There is no wheelchair access in the area. One concrete path runs from the aged care facility on Mount Pleasant Avenue to the San Hospital, which has a small set of stairs. The other trails are mostly mulched bush trails.

Wear good comfortable walking shoes. As this is a bushland area, be aware of spiders, snakes, ants and ticks. If spending a long time in the bush, wear a hat and sunscreen, and bring a bottle of water with you. There are no toilet facilities in the bush.
