Fagan Park
Description
The crown jewel of Hornsby Shire’s parks, covering 55 hectares that include a range of attractions for everybody.
– Enjoy a picnic or barbecue, with a number of shelters and electric barbecues that accept $1 coins scattered throughout the grounds.
– Relax with a coffee from the coffee cart, which is open on weekends and every day during school holidays.
– Explore the Gardens of Many Nations, which covers 10 hectares and has 11 themed gardens, including Japanese, Dutch, Chinese and Mediterranean.
– Learn more about local history at Netherby Cottage, the original Fagan family homestead, and the adjoining museum.
– Let the kids run free at the two large playgrounds, while there’s also plenty of open space for kite flying and other games.
– Take in the local bushland along a short bushwalking trail.
– Jump on a bike and explore the grounds along the bicycle paths.
– Host an event by hiring one of the five large picnic shelters that are perfect for birthdays and other social events. Each garden in the Gardens of Many Nations can also be hired for weddings (see below for more information).
– Learn about sustainable gardening at the Eco Garden.
