You Yangs Regional Park
The distinctive granite peaks of the You Yangs rise from the flat volcanic plains between Melbourne and Geelong. The park is popular for its magnificent views, birdlife and opportunities for walks, picnics and mountain bike riding.
Big Rock Walk
This 3km loop walk has lovely views of Geelong and its surrounding regions. It starts from the Park Office car park, winding its way around Big Rock, returning down the same path.
This gentle 4.5km loop walk has views of the You Yangs and surrounding areas. With some medium gradients, the walk starts and finishes at the Turntable car park.
Flinders Peak Walk
This 3.2km walk takes you to the highest point of the You Yangs, and on a clear day rewards walkers with views of Mount Macedon, the Brisbane Ranges, Geelong, Corio Bay and the Melbourne skyscrapers.
Starting from Turntable car park, this walk includes 450 steps and some sections with steep gradients.
Due to flood damage, the Flinders Peak walking track is closed to the public.
