Outdoor Life – adventurous mental health support for adults, Geelong and surrounds

Description

Outdoor Life is a group run by Geelong Adventure Specialist for adults suffering from mental illness. Outdoor adventure provides an opportunity to take risks and explore new possibilities: physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Explore local natural places (eg. You Yangs & Otway parks) and try a variety of activities – rock climbing, mountain biking, bushwalking, orienteering, abseiling.

Combining nature, exercise, adventure, healthy food and good company, this weekly program can assist to improve mental health and physical wellbeing. For adults who would like to include adventure in their treatment or support plan.

Useful Information

Geelong Adventure Specialists will provide all equipment and will advise you what to bring on booking.

Our philosophy is ‘challenge by choice’. We expect participants to ‘have a go’, but their level of engagement is up to them (Eg. Rock climbing – the height they climb to is up to them).

Costs – NDIS Support Items: Participate community & Assist personal activities.

Cost varies from $21.39 – $62.66 per hour depending on the level of support required to actively participate while ensuring safety.
